Fun with the Hoerl's- Bowling and Letterboxing

On MLK, Jr. Day, we decided that we needed to go ahead and do our schoolwork that day; even though all of the surrounding schools were out for the National Holiday.  However, Heather and I decided that we definitely needed to do something fun that day because her husband is in school on Monday nights, and Daddy teaches at Shorter College on Monday nights.

So, we decided to go bowling.  It just so happened, that there is a letterbox inside the bowling alley.  How fun!!  It's really cheap to bowl up in Calhoun, Ga. during the week, so we took off for a day of fun!

When we first arrived, the letterbox clue said that it was hidden in the Pro Shop.  Well, we followed the clue, to no avail.  We couldn't find it.  We decided to ask at the desk where you rent your shoes.  Sure enough, they had the letterbox behind the desk, so we were able to do our stamping!  This was the Hoerl's first letterboxing adventure, so they were even more excited than we were.

Now, let the bowling begin...

Jacob, I loved how excited Maddy was for you when you bowled a strike!  This is a great example of a friend!!

After bowling, we did find another letterbox at a nearby park.  JD, you found it, so you were also the one allowed to re-hide it!  We had a ball!

After all of this, we wrapped up our day at Chick-fil-A in Calhoun.  What a fun day with great friends!  We can't wait to go back again!

"Rejoice in the Lord always.  I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all.  The Lord is near."
Phillippians 4: 4-5
