The Big Chicken

"Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.  Cast all your cares on him because he cares for you."
I Peter 5: 6-7

You boys have been working on a Georgia History project for the past 6 weeks.  One of your assignments was to pick a Georgia Landmark and learn all about it.  J.D., you chose the Big Chicken.  It is definitely a Georgia Landmark- everybody knows about it.  I have lived in Georgia most of my adult life and all of my childhood, and had never been to this most historic place.  We decided that since it was so close, we may as well make a visit in person.  We ate lunch one Friday afternoon and then headed down with some friends to have chocolate parfait desserts.
It was a beautiful day, but boy it was cold and windy.  We still had a blast and had some yummy dessert, too.

After our fun at the Big Chicken, we decided to go letterboxing.  We were completely unsuccessful, but we had great fun looking!

Audrey, you just loved this sculpture and desperately wanted your picture taken in front of it...

Well, we have another wonderful day and another wonderful experience under our belts this year.  You guys mean the world to me, and that I'm able to be home with you all is truly the biggest privilege and honor.  I wouldn't trade my life for anything in the world.  I love you all so very much!

"The Lord is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all those he has made.  The Lord upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down."
Psalm 145: 13-14
