Vacation 2009

Well, this vacation was a first.  Even though mommy and daddy have been to the beach every year since they were married, and you guys have been to the beach every year, also, we've never been on vacation as a family of six.  You guys were born so close together, we always had to have help on our trips.  This year was definitely the exception and boy did we make the most of it.  We had a blast.  You guys loved the beach more than ever....and so did mommy.  I didn't have to cook a meal.  Even though we ate breakfast and lunch in, we ate dinner out every night.   Wow, what a treat.

One highlight for me was our last night in Panama City.  We noticed on Wednesday that there appeared to be alot of motorcycles coming into the area.  Little did we know that this was Thunder Beach Biker Weekend.  By Friday and Saturday there were motorcycles everywhere.  On Friday night when we left to go eat dinner, there were a few people from our condo complex sitting out next to the street waving at the bikers.  Well, Jacob, you wouldn't have it but to sit out there and try to get them to rev up their engines.  You thought that was the coolest thing you've ever seen.  I laughed so hard when daddy took you and your brother and sisters out to the sidewalk for a better look.

We truly had a wonderful time soaking in God's wonderful creation.  We really feel small standing in a huge body of water.  There are so many things that come to mind and I stood in awe thinking about them.  First, the beautiful color of the water- blue, green and it was crystal clear.  We could even see the fish that would swim into our legs.  We loved swimming out to the sandbar every day.  The tides are amazing and how God tells the waves how far to come into the shore.  Then he pulls them back out again.  We saw some of the most beautiful sunsets you can imagine.  I love how God paints all of the different colors in the sky for us to enjoy.  Of course, the most wonderful creations in my mind were my children.  The question often goes through my mind: "What did I do to deserved such riches?"  You guys are truly a gift from above.

My prayer on our vacation was that you would so seek and run after the Lord that others would see your lives and the beautiful picture that He is painting, and want what you have.  My prayer is that your daddy and I would raise you to "let your light shine before men" so others can't help but be drawn to Him through you.  We Love You More Every Day~
