Thanksgiving 2009

Here's a few highlights from our Thanksgiving...

We started the day off with our "big" meal.  This was at Aunt Carrie and Uncle Robby's house.  Granna and Poppa were there, and Uncle Robby's family:  Pat, Robert and Tamela.  We had a wonderful time that afternoon.

You all had a great time playing football (except Audrey)- she just sortof ran around and played off to herself.  She's not really into outdoor sports.  I didn't get any pictures because I was, of course, talking too much.

That evening, we went over to Aunt Gwen's house.  She had called the day before Thanksgiving and asked Daddy to do a family devotion.  He couldn't say no, so we spent the evening with the Wingard's.

Aunt Gwen had a Newlywed Game for us to play!  That was a hoot.  You guys got a big kick out of that game!  It was a wonderful Thanksgiving and we were able to be with all of our extended family.

"...give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."  Well, that verse just about sums up what Thanksgiving is about.  It's about an attitude of gratitude.  We should celebrate Thanksgiving everyday.  I will make a better effort to teach this to you guys throughout the rest of your lives.  This will definitely be a priority in the coming new year.  "...give thanks in all circumstances."  Wow!
